Special Issue “Hyperspectral Imaging” in RFPT journal

RFPT (the Photogrammetry and Remote sensing French Journal) has published a special issue on hyperspectral imaging, presenting work carried out by the French scientific and technical community in a wide range of technical, methodological and application fields.

France is one of the world’s leading countries in terms of the number of scientific publications in this field, particularly in measurement physics and image processing. The community is also actively involved in the CHIME mission group, the future hyperspectral satellite of the Copernicus program, and is a stakeholder in the mission groups of CNES’s hyperspectral imaging pre-projects and projects.

This special issue on hyperspectral imagery is all the more important as we are at a turning point in our history, where the aerial data used for the last forty years will be joined by the first hyperspectral satellites adapted to our needs, at a time when Europe is working to set up an operational space industry that will foster the emergence of new applications.
